STUDIO Fabrizio Ruggiero's studio is located up in the hills surrounding Anghiari, in Tuscany, Italy. In his studio Fabrizio Ruggiero constructs works whose intention is to bring the mind of the observer, even for an instant, out from the mechanism of thought. To allow this to happen, Fabrizio Ruggiero constructs the surfaces of his works in ways that hook the sight, playing with what Sir Aby Warburg defined as Denkraumverlust, the tendency of the human spirit to confuse the sign or mark with its meaning, the name with the object that it designates, to inspire a reflection on the perceptions that are then always connected to the complete image that we have of the universe. Fabrizio Ruggiero's preferred technique is that of the fresco which he carries out using cartoons and glazes and the modern technological innovations.

STUDIO Nel 1980 Fabrizio Ruggiero apre il sui atelier sulle colline nei dintorni di Anghiari. Il percorso di Fabrizio Ruggiero inizia dalla ricerca sulla natura della mente con lunghi soggiorni in Oriente che lo portano a condividere il punto di vista secondo cui l'artista -con costante, chiara e consapevole comprensione della natura impermanente di tutti i fenomeni- può rendere silenziosa la propria mente. Se una struttura d'immagini esprime un insieme di tendenze che poi si materializzeranno in manufatti, è evidente che, anche i manufatti – le opere- saranno “informati” : rispecchieranno in qualche modo l'asse immaginativo che li ha prodotti, irradieranno quell' unica energia capace di generare pace ed armonia per tutti gli esseri viventi oltre i limiti d'appartenenza, status sociale, credenze religiose e militanze politiche. Dipinti e sculture diventano performers nelle installazioni di Fabrizio Ruggiero che a volte sono reali, a volte virtuali. |
